Keith squeaked by a new album by the Weeknd, a.k.a. R&B artist Abel Tesfaye, whose album Kiss Land sold about 95,000 copies, according to numbers from Nielsen SoundScan.
This is Keith’s second No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 album sales chart, the first being 2009’s Defying Gravity .
Sheryl Crow also made her debut on the country album chart with Feels Like Home , which sold 36,000 copies, good enough for third place (behind Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party ) on the country chart and No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
