Ray Price, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, has been readmitted to the hospital for kidney stones, Ray's wife, Janie, has posted on his Facebook page. The 87-year-old singer was hospitalized last month for dehydration, which evidently caused this recent health battle.
In 2012, Ray was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which appears to be in remission.
"So sad to tell you that Ray has been readmitted to the hospital," Janie writes. "Test results show that the long-term dehydration has caused kidney stones to develop and Ray was in severe pain." Janie adds that the situation does appear to be under control and that Ray is resting.
Ray, whose biggest hits include "Crazy Arms," "Night Life" and "For the Good Times," has canceled all of his concert dates for June. Janie asks fans to keep Ray in their thoughts and prayers.
Country Weekly wishes Ray a quick and complete recovery.
