Carrie Underwood recently wrapped her yearlong Blown Away Tour, which played more than 100 dates in six countries and sold out every show. The spectacle can now be enjoyed at home with the upcoming release of her tour DVD The Blown Away Tour: LIVE, due Aug. 13.
Filmed at Carrie's Toronto concert in March 2013, the DVD will offer more than 20 songs, including Carrie's numerous hits like "Two Black Cadillacs" and "Before He Cheats." Additional features include interviews with Carrie and show director Raj Kapoor.
Carrie recently spoke with CW about the elaborate tour, which had her in a multitude of costumes that varied from night to night. But no matter the outfit, Carrie always showed up from the stage. "It's all vibrant colors. I like 'bling,'" she says with a laugh. "So there's a lot of bling on a lot of them. And just when we thought we couldn't put any more bling on there, we put some more bling on there."
Some of the costumes have been collected for Carrie's new Blown Away Tour exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, which opens June 5.
Along with the costumes, fans can expect to see microphones, staging and even their own artwork in the exhibit. And though Carrie credits the success of the tour to her fans, she says people might still be surprised. "I don't know if they've known why we've been asking for their signs," she notes. "They probably think they're in trouble or something. Every night somebody goes out there and they're like, 'Um, are you gonna do anything with that? Can I have it?'"
Find out more about Carrie's tour, the exhibit and what's she's doing with her free time this summer in the June 10 issue of Country Weekly, which hits newsstands June 3.
