Details are still developing, but the members of Lady Antebellum have announced that they will release a new album, titled Golden, on May 7. The group performed the title track this morning (Feb. 19) on ABC's Good Morning America with Hillary Scott sporting a noticeable baby bump.
With the release of the first single, "Downtown," Lady A has set the tone for the remainder of the project. The trio's Charles Kelley tells Country Weekly, "We knew going into this record that we wanted to come out of the gate with something really fresh and different and fun for us." Overall, the project is a bit of a look back. Charles adds, "More than anything, the record has gotten a little more organic and raw with the sounds. I don't think we put any string sections on any song, which we had a lot of on the last two records. We just wanted to get back to our first record a bit."
Shortly after the release of the album, the band will take a brief break as Hillary prepares for the birth of her first child in July.
