Clear the road! Carrie Underwood admits she was a little worried about driving the titular car in her eerie new video for her latest single “Two Black Cadillacs." Especially since the classic Caddy was only on loan from its owner.
“I had to drive this poor man’s car. I got behind the wheel and it was like driving a boat,” she tells Country Weekly. “I said, ‘You have insurance, right?’”
Fortunately, she completed her on-screen road trip without nary a scratch, thrilling both Carrie and, we assume, the car’s owner. The story of a cheating husband and the wife and mistress who make him pay, “Two Black Cadillacs” is a murder ballad written by Carrie with Hillary Lindsey and Josh Kear.
“The song itself is so visual that I feel you can fill in the blanks and let your imagination do the work when you listen to it. You can come up with this really dark story about a guy who pissed off the wrong women!” Carrie says, laughing. “Pardon my French. It’s just juicy and good.”
