The good news: Dierks Bentley’s annual New Year’s Day lake plunge happened to be in Florida this year because Dierks played the Capital One college bowl game in Orlando.
That means temperatures were around 65 degrees instead of the 30s or 40s that Dierks usually has on Jan. 1 in Nashville. Heck, Dierks and his crew looked absolutely refreshed after they jumped into Lake Eola. Capital One even provided some colorful robes for the occasion.
The bad news, as posted on Dierks' Twitter account : “overheard today after we did our 2013 lake jump: ‘this lake ain’t spring fed, it’s street fed.’” Dierks added that one of his guys got a rash after the jump. Is that a joke? We don’t know.
What we do know is that one of Dierks’ fans came up with a new name for Lake Eola: “Lake E Coli.”
