When Miranda Lambert opened her new boutique, The Pink Pistol, on Nov. 23 in her adopted hometown of Tishomingo, Okla., she probably never dreamed it'd be so much work. Not that the budding entrepreneur is complaining. In fact, she's downright enjoying everything from serving treats in the shop's ice-cream parlor to stocking shelves.
"It’s a blast! I’m having so much fun. I’ve been there every single day that I’ve been home. I’ve never worked so hard in my life. I need to go on tour so I don’t have to work so hard," Miranda recently told Country Weekly. "I have so much fun with it: talking with people, making sodas and sundaes, putting out merchandise and cleaning up boxes. Songwriting was my hobby before, now it’s a full-time job, and I figure everybody needs a hobby and a creative outlet, so I’ve found one."
But Ran's new pursuit has put a crimp on her old one: hunting.
"I went hog hunting once [this season] and got a hog with my bow. I haven’t had time. I’m in pink land now," she says, recalling hunting husband Blake Shelton's dismay. "Blake’s like, 'Really? You’re just going to be in pink glitter and no more hunting with me anymore?' I’m like, 'I’ll go a couple times.'"
Blake may be disappointed to not have his regular hunting buddy, but we bet the animals are overjoyed.
