Tracy Lawrence is again doing his part to help the homeless and those in need with his seventh annual "Mission Possible" Turkey Fry, Tuesday (Nov. 20), at the Nashville Rescue Mission. Tracy and the Nashville Rescue Mission, which aids the homeless and hungry, plan to serve more than 5,000 meals to feed the homeless this Thanksgiving season. The program needs an estimated 1,000 turkeys to reach this goal and donations are still needed. Tracy is urging his fans to bring turkeys, cash donations or clothing to the Nashville Rescue Mission. Those who cannot attend in person but wish to help can find more information at tracylawrence.com.
The "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" singer launched the "Mission Possible" program in 2006 and has since helped serve more than 35,000 meals to assist the Nashville Rescue Mission. In the past, his fellow stars and members of the Tennessee Titans NFL team have joined in the event.
"Each year, I am humbled by the outpouring of support from friends who give their time to be part of the Turkey Fry," Tracy noted in a release about the program. "This special day allows us the opportunity to help raise awareness of the great services the mission provides every day to the homeless and those in need."
