Taylor Swift and the Kennedys—as in, relatives of the late President John F. Kennedy—have been forming quite a bond in the past year or so. Taylor went to see the documentary Ethel about the family's matriarch at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. And Taylor spent the Fourth of July with Kennedys as well.
Now, the family, through the Robert F. Kennedy Center, is giving her an award. She'll receive the Ripple of Hope Award at a high-dollar fundraiser dinner Dec. 3 in New York. Actor Alec Baldwin (Thirty Rock) will be the moderator.
"Taylor Swift's dedication to advocacy at such a young age continues to inspire me," center director Kerry Kennedy—RFK's daughter—said in a statement .
The center cited Taylor's support for arts education, natural disaster victims and bullying victims.
Other celebs who've scored the award in the past include Bono, President Bill Clinton and actor George Clooney.
