Brad Paisley had a pretty amazing gig: He played for President Obama and his family, and more than 1,200 military members and their relatives on the South Lawn of the White House.
Brad struck a sincere note on his Twitter page : "Thank you Mr. President, First Lady, and all the branches of military for the best 4th of July I've ever had."
And Brad couldn't resist having a little fun with the fact that he played one of the best-known venues in the world.
"Haven't sung in someone's back yard in a while," he said, posting a pic of him playing on the South Lawn .
Brad captioned another pic : "Um, yes, police? The big house up the street is having a really loud party. On Pennsylvania Avenue."
And check this out: President Obama gave Brad a shout-out in a pre-concert speech, and we think the commander in chief may have let a little twang slip into his speech at the end of that sentence.
"And we've got Brad Paisley and his band in the house for a little country," the president said in pre-concert remarks .
