Carrie Underwood thrilled the audience at the Nordstrom Symphony Fashion Show in Nashville, Tuesday night (Feb. 28), with both her powerful voice and a gorgeous outfit from designer Oscar de la Renta.
The show, held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and benefiting the symphony's outreach programs, previewed the pre-fall selection from Oscar de la Renta and featured a runway fashion show, followed by a performance from Carrie.
Carrie was decked out in fashions from the famed designer on the pre-show red carpet and for her performance. It was Carrie's first time to wear Oscar de la Renta and she told CountryWeekly.com, "I feel really glamorous tonight. I have always wanted to wear something by Oscar de la Renta."
The annual event helps raise money for art and music programs in Nashville schools, one of the elements that attracted Carrie to the show. "Nashville is Music City," she said. "So, it's only fitting that we do everything we can to expose young people to as much music as we possibly can."
Carrie took the stage in a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress and shoes. "You all look so glamorous tonight," Carrie told the audience. Backed by a four-piece band, Carrie led off with her hit "Undo It," followed by "Good Girl" and "Before He Cheats," all of which met with loud cheers and extended applause.
