Before Whitney Duncan was a contestant on CBS' Survivor, she was making music for a major country record label.
Whitney is no longer at Warner Bros., but she still wants to make new music. So she has started asking fans for financial help through the business fundraising website kickstarter.com.
Whitney says on the site that she has a five-song collection she made with singer/songwriter Jonathan Singleton, and they want to turn it into a full-length album.
"But for me to do this, I will need your help and contribution," she says. "My fans have always been the best, so I have no doubt that ya'll will make this a successful project!"
Whitney hopes to raise $5,000 through the website, which isn't enough to fully fund a CD, but it sure does help. And she's offering incentives for contributions. For a mere $20, you get an autographed pic and personal message, and for $100, you get a personal phone call.
Not enough Whitney time? For $500, it's karaoke night out on the town with Whitney!
