Leesburg, Ga., has a population of around 3,000 folks—and looks like nearly everyone of them came out to see hometown hero Luke Bryan.
Several thousand folks lined the streets of the small southern Georgia town this past weekend for the annual Christmas parade, and Luke, who was raised there, served as grand marshal.
Authorities told WALB-TV that the crowd was four times larger than the usual crowd.
"Biggest out-coming for a parade," said Leesburg Police Capt. Monterey Moody. "Last year we had [Leesburg native and San Francisco Giants catcher ] Buster Posey; it was large but nothing compared to this."
Luke was delighted."Oh this is amazing, to grow up here and to walk these streets and see so many people gathered here," Luke said. "It is good to be home."
