Kenny Chesney has been subjected to more than his fair share of tabloid rumors, about his relationships, sexuality, even plastic surgery.
The country star tells ABC's Robin Roberts that he's done paying attention to any of it.
“I learned a long time ago to quit reading what anybody writes,” Kenny says in the upcoming ABC special In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville, airing Tuesday night (Nov. 8) at 10 p.m. ET in anticipation of Wednesday night's Country Music Association Awards.
“It’s tough when you go somewhere in my life and you follow your perception into the room. Whatever they think of you is already in the room 10 minutes before you actually walk in the room,” he said. “So you have to overcome that as a human being.
“Because of that, I learned not to think about what other people think. I’m just doing the best to try to be myself.”
