As Alan Jackson put it, when it comes to accolades, "I have won about everything that I never even thought you could win. And I even had some people name a dog after me one time."
But Alan seemed truly moved Sunday (Nov. 7) when he received his star on the Music City Walk of Fame, which sits in a park just north of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
"When I think about driving down Music Row 20 years ago with a paper sack full of songs, I never could ever imagine standing in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame in the heart of Nashville, the heart of country music and having ‘em put my name down on this concrete," Alan said.
"It’ll be here for a long time. I never even dreamed it could happen."
Alan was inducted along with Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, who received his induction from longtime friend and fellow superstar Reba McEntire.
