The Band Perry and Taylor Swift just might have a few more trophies on their mantelpieces soon. The sibling trio and the 21-year-old multiplatinum-selling singer are tied as the most nominated country acts for the 2011 American Music Awards. In the country category, Taylor is nominated for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album, in addition to being nominated for the all-genre Artist of the Year award, while The Band Perry is nominated for Favorite Band, Duo or Group and Favorite Album in the country category as well as the all-genre Sprint New Artist of the Year award.
If Taylor wins, it would be a repeat win in any category she is nominated for. Taylor won the Favorite Album (Country) award in 2009 for Fearless, currently holds the title for Favorite Female Artist (Country), and won Artist of the Year in 2009. This year marks the first nominations for The Band Perry.
Other notable nominees include Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum, Thompson Square and Zac Brown Band. The awards will be broadcast live on Nov. 20 on ABC.
