Sure, Taylor Swift’s up for Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year , but she’s already a winner with the Nashville Symphony.
Taylor will receive the Harmony Award at the symphony’s grand annual Symphony Ball, Dec. 10, held in the incredibly opulent (that means “fancy”) Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
That award goes to the Nashville music act that best shows Music City’s spirit of harmony. Past winners include Martina McBride, Amy Grant, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton.
“We are proud to call our home Music City, and Taylor Swift is the perfect person to receive this award, because she has contributed so tremendously to promoting this amazing community of which we are all a part,” Nashville Symphony CEO and president Alan Valentine said in a statement.
So in Taylor’s honor that night, the symphony will refer to all violins as “fiddles.” Or not. . . .
