Keith Urban and Bill Anderson are set to be the latest to get stars on the Music City Walk of Fame, Nashville's answer to Hollywood's star walk.
Rascal Flatts, Charlie Daniels, Dolly Parton and Josh Turner are among those who already have stars in cement in a park outside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
A star for Keith is particularly fitting, since he has joined with Vince Gill to play big fundraiser shows for the Hall of Fame, one of many things Keith has done to pump up Nashville. Heck, Keith even showed up with his wife, Nicole Kidman, at the Nashville Predators playoff game last night (May 5) at Bridgestone Arena.
The couple popped up on the Jumbotron for a moment, and the Oscar winner looked shy and covered her mouth when she discovered why the crowd was enthusiastically applauding.
One of Nashville's most enduring singer/songwriters, Bill penned his first hit country song when he was 19, and he has been a force in music for more than a half century. A Grand Ole Opry member, Bill has written or co-written songs including “Whiskey Lullaby," “The Tips of My Fingers” and “Give It Away.”
Keith and Bill will be on hand for the star walk induction, which happens at 2:30 p.m., May 15, at Walk of Fame Park, and, yes, it's open to the public.
