It's hard to believe that it was only a year ago that the Opry stage was under four feet of water.
And the Opry will mark its comeback—and that of thousands of Nashvillians—with a star-studded show May 3 at the refurbished Opry House.
Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Charlie Daniels are all set to be on the show, to be called “Play On, Nashville!”
Proceeds from posters will go to Hands On Nashville, which mobilized more than 100,000 volunteers to help clean up the city. And the American Red Cross and United Way will give promotional codes so that $10 of each ticket purchased will go to the charities.
“I’ve never been more proud to be an Opry member, and I’m looking forward to celebrating that sense of community again on Tuesday,” Dierks said in a statement.
