No one offers parodies as humorously on-target as Cledus T. Judd. On his new CD, the "King of Jeers" is at it again, poking fun at such recent chart-toppers as Travis Tritt's "It's A Great Day To Be Alive," Faith Hill's "Breathe," Billy Gilman's "One Voice" and Chad Brock's "Yes."
Our pal Cledus passes the borders of good taste as often as he passes gas -- which he does here on "It's A Great Day To Be A Guy," a song about a born-again temporary bachelor getting in touch with his inner slob. You've probably already seen the video for "Breath," which concerns a sexy lady blessed with beauty but cursed with halitosis. "Let's Shoot Dove" is a twist on the Tim and Faith hit "Let's Make Love" that's worth its weight in buckshot.
Cledus actually gets serious with a patriotic, butt-kickin' version of Brooks & Dunn's "Only In America" called "Don't Mess With America." But it's about the only time Cledus gets serious -- otherwise, Cledus Envy is loaded with laughs.
