Loretta Lynn, one of country music's biggest talents, has agreed to be an official torchbearer for the United States 2002 Winter Olympics.
Lynn will receive the torch at 6:05 p.m. in Louisville Kentucky, and carry it for approximately ? mile. She says she is "so excited" about her role in the event and adds that "this is one of the greatest things I've ever been asked to do!"
Also on Lynn's roster is an appearance on CNN's "NewsNight with Aaron Brown," which will feature her years of support and involvement with the USO.
Lynn recently finished a 70-city concert tour, and she also found time to complete her second autobiography. The book is called "Still Woman Enough" and is scheduled to be released next spring.
