Our fondest get-well wishes go out to Trace Adkins, who suffered an accident while building a road on his property in Tennessee.
Trace is currently in the hospital with multiple injuries after being pinned by a tractor, after the gravel road he was building gave way. His chest was crushed in the accident, causing a separation of the ribs and sternum, and has bruises on his shoulder and pelvis.
He remains under observation to make sure there was no bruising of his heart, although doctors say that he is awake and stable.
After the tractor pinned him down, Trace was able to reach the cell phone in his pocket and call for help.
No stranger to injuries, it seems that Trace has suffered more than his fair share: In 1994, he was shot through the heart, in 1999 he broke an ankle and in 2000, a boulder rolled over his hand and he needed 40 stitches.
Take it easy, Trace -- and maybe you should think of hiring someone for the bigger construction jobs!
