Many folks consider Martina McBride the most feminist singer in country music. But she just laughs at that title. "Well, what would I be singing about?" she responded to the Rocky Mountain News. "'You can go ahead and treat me like crap and I'll be here for you?' No one sings about that!" She continued, "It's not like Trisha Yearwood or Faith [Hill] are singing songs that aren't strong. For me, it's just about choosing what feels right for me . I guess I must have a pretty strong sense of what I want and who I am, because I keep choosing these types of songs."
