Mark Miller and Sawyer Brown couldn't wait to give soldiers in the 1st Armored Division a show they'd never forget when they headlined the Welcome Home Celebration overseas at the Rhein Main Base and the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. But what the band received in return was something they'll never forget. "It was pretty emotional," said Mark. "You see kids who should either be in college or just out, you know, thinking about their futures, starting their lives as teachers or doctors or whatever - and they're here, not just taking time out of their lives, but risking their lives for someone else's freedom. They're so young - and it's just so moving." Broadcast live to over 350,000 soldiers, across Europe and the Middle East, Sawyer Brown played for over 3 1/2 hours - culminating a trip that merged touring the base with visiting with soldiers who'd been wounded in the line of duty.
