George Strait 50 Number Ones album sold 343,000 copies its first week, giving the CD the top spot on the "Billboard 200" album chart. R&B singer Usher was a close second with 336,000 copies sold. 50 Number Ones is now George's 18th #1 on Billboard's "Top Country" album chart and with this release, maintains his title as the record holder for the most Billboard #1 country albums. But 50 Number Ones should actually be called 51 Number Ones, since George recently celebrated his 51st No. 1 record, "I Hate Everything." "This is the kind of problem you want to have," said George. "Country radio has been great to me my whole career. I can't thank those folks enough for making my album title a lie. It's because of their support and the great fans that I'm lucky enough to be able to make music and celebrate this milestone in my career."
