Sara Evans just scored a career best when her new CD, Real Fine Place, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and at No. 3 on the Top 200 pop chart. In one week she sold 126,000 copies of the album. Sara told X Radio that she's finally hit the big leagues because she found her sound.
"I was really still kind of searching with [the albums] Three Chords [and the Truth] and No Place [That Far]," Sara said. "I just didn't really have that, you know, grasp on what is my sound and who am I. It's kind of like, Keith Urban, you know, every time you turn on one of his records or you turn on the radio and he's on, you can instantly tell that it's himor Rascal Flatts. And so that's what I wanted so badly, and I think that we've gotten that now. We have a Sara Evans sound and I think it's a combination of funky music behind a country voice."
