The Festival, which ran June 8Â11 in downtown Nashville, saw an 11 percent increase over last yearÂs record-setting attendance, reports the CMAÂs chief operating officer, Tammy Genovese. The CMA estimates the aggregate attendance for the four-day Festival at 161,000. Last yearÂs figure was 145,000. The CMA Music Festival featured more than 70 hours of live music, including nightly concerts at the newly-named LP Field, featuring Brooks & Dunn, Carrie Underwood, Clint Black and more. Fans also had the chance to snag autographs and pose for photos with many of their favorite stars.
And if youÂre thinking of attending the 2007 Festival, better not wait too long. Fans purchased all of the prime ÂGold Circle tickets for the 2007 Festival two hours after the seats went on sale. Plus, the first two days of sales for next yearÂs event are up 39 percent from last year.
