The party was held at the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville and included Kenny’s mom, his sister, his uncle Butch and many fellow artists, including Randy Owen of Alabama. “People have different measures of what they think is successful,” Kenny noted, “and I didn’t know that 25 million records existed, to be honest with you. When I was a kid leavin’ East Tennessee with a truck full of dreams, I was just hopin’ to get a song on the radio, really, like everybody else does. And years later, here we are with 25 million albums.” Kenny’s new CD, Live Those Songs Again, will be building on that total, as it has already been certified for sales of one million copies after one week of release.
