EarthMatters Tennessee and the LifeWorks Foundation recently dedicated a Nashville garden to late Country Music Hall of Famer DeFord Bailey. Members of DeFord’s family were on hand for the dedication, saluting the harmonica great and Grand Ole Opry star. The DeFord Bailey Tribute Garden houses almost a dozen different variety of roses, including flowers named for Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell and Lynn Anderson. Meanwhile, the DeFord Bailey Harmonica and Southern Music Heritage Festival will be held in Carthage, Tenn., Oct. 5, 6 and 7. Go to defordbaileyharmonicafest.com for more information.
