Bobby, a native of Sanford, Fla., scored his biggest country hit in 1956 with "Without Your Love." He made an important early contribution to country music with his Nashville–based TV program, The Bobby Lord Show, produced by WSM–TV in Nashville and syndicated by 1965. The show introduced several country stars to a wide audience, as it was seen in 40 USA markets and 34 countries around the world. Bobby was a regular on the ABC–TV program Ozark Jubilee, hosted by Red Foley, and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1960. In the early 1970s, Bobby essentially retired from music and moved back to his home state of Florida, where he developed a successful real estate and insurance business. Recently, Bobby had suffered from a number of illnesses. He is survived by his wife Mozelle and their three children.
