Kraig, one of the inductees to the Radio Hall of Fame, was the promotion executive behind several of Alan’s hits. He stepped down as VP/Promotion of the Arista Nashville label in 2005 due to health reasons. Alan took the stage unannounced after Kraig made his acceptance speech. “I always liked Bobby,” said Alan. “He’s been very good to me over the years.” Alan then played the first No. 1 record that Kraig promoted for Alan, “Chattahoochee.” He followed that with a touching version of “Remember When” and the title track from his latest album, Good Time. Charlie Daniels was also honored at the ceremony, receiving the prestigious Career Achievement Award. Inducted into the DJ Hall of Fame were GAC host and WSM-AM Nashville radio personality Bill Cody and Bob Robbins of KSSN in Little Rock, Ark. Media consultant Jaye Albright and radio executive Michael Owens, the son of country legend Buck Owens, were named to the Radio Hall of Fame along with Kraig.
