The downturn in the nation’s economy is cited as the reason behind the slow sales. The unique show planned for Trace and Lynyrd Skynyrd to play in two venues, Nashville and Pikeville, Ky., on Dec. 31. Trace was to open the evening in Nashville, then hop on a plane to Pikeville to ring in the New Year in that city. In turn, Lynyrd Skynyrd would open in Pikeville, then board a plane to Nashville to close the show.
For those who purchased tickets at the Sommet Center Box Office in Nashville, you must return to the box office during normal business hours, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., to receive a refund. You must present the original tickets at that time to receive a refund. Those who purchased tickets by phone or at ticketmaster.com will have their order automatically credited. You will not have to contact anyone to receive your refund. Fans who purchased tickets at Ticketmaster outlets must return to that outlet and present the original tickets to receive a refund.
The Dec. 31 show in Pikeville, Ky., is still taking place with a new lineup—Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special and the Dirt Drifters. Tickets for this show at the Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville are available by calling (606) 433-1793 or online at ticketmaster.com.
