Hank was best known for his 1960 No. 1 hit, "Please Help Me, I'm Falling." Hank joined the Grand Ole Opry that same year and appeared regularly on the show. He was born Feb. 15, 1918, in McLellan, Fla., and got his start in radio in the early 1940s. Hank later joined the Louisiana Hayride radio show and made his country chart debut in 1949 with "The Same Sweet Girl," which reached the Top 10. The follow-up to that single, "Let Me Be the One," became Hank's first No. 1 hit in 1953. One of Hank's most popular tunes, "Send Me the Pillow You Dream On," peaked at No. 5 in 1958. Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.
