Jamey and Randy Houser had just finished their Ryman Auditorium debut at their “Traler Park Revival Show,” which raised money for the Opry Trust Fund. Rising new star Jerrod Niemann opened the show. They all celebrated with a spirited after-party at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge.
In the packed back room, Jerrod got the party started with a traditional Tootsie’s “Holler and a Swaller” toast and chug and a special shout-out to partiers in Tootsies’ Panama City location, where fans watched all the fun through a live video feed. Fans were then treated to a special duet when Jamey took the stage in the front room with country legend Mel Tillis, as the two performed the classic “Detroit City,” written by Mel. Jerrod, Jake Owen, Chris Young, Lee Brice, and Dallas Davidson sang a very lively version of “Family Tradition” which had the house singing along in the chorus.
