The exhibit was originally scheduled to close on Dec. 31, 2009. Family Tradition tells the story of the Hank Williams family, from the legendary Hank Sr. to son Hank Williams Jr., daughter Jett Williams and their children. It has proven to be one of the most popular and critically acclaimed exhibits in the Hall of Fame's history. "This is due not only to the family’s iconic stature and its influence on generations of artists,” says the Hall's director Kyle Young, “but also because of the participation of the members of the Williams family, each of whom has generously loaned us heirlooms and artifacts, and helped to tell the truest and most complete story about their family to date." The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is located in downtown Nashville. For more information on the Hall of Fame and its exhibits, call (615) 416-2001 or visit countrymusichalloffame.org .
