For Jason, Feb. 14 is a meaningful day for the entire Aldean family. "That is my daughter's [Keeley's] birthday," Jason says. "So, Valentine's Day means something a little different for us." Jason adds that he always makes sure to be home on that day to celebrate his oldest child's birthday. "My wife [Jessica] and I try and celebrate the real Valentine's Day either Feb. 13 or Feb. 15," he says.
Appropriately, Jewel has the featured song on the soundtrack for the new movie, Valentine's Day, which premieres Feb. 12 nationwide. Jewel reveals that she wrote the song for her husband, rodeo star Ty Murray. "It's about being in love and how going on a great adventure is fun, but sometimes, staying home with the one you love is even better," she tells Entertainment Weekly. And her favorite Valentine's Day memory is really a "tradition," Jewel notes to rhapsody.com. "Ty and I write each other love letters every year," she says. "I keep a box full of the letters from over the past 11 years."
Luke recalls a Valentine's Day that didn't quite go the way he planned, because he did the unthinkable -- he forgot to make dinner reservations. "We went to the Stoney River near where we live and they didn't have any tables," Luke said recently. So, Luke and his wife Caroline had to enjoy their Valentine's Day dinner in a less-than-romantic spot. Luke adds that he is rarely home on Valentine's Day, but this year is the exception. "Since, it's on a Sunday," he says, we're finally going to be able to go out and have a nice dinner." And yes, he does have the reservation lined up.
