UPDATE: More CMA nominations were released on Sept. 1 .
Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, newcomer Easton Corbin and Zac Brown are the top nominees for the 44th Annual Country Music Association Awards, which will take place Nov. 10 in Nashville.
Miranda scored double nominations in two categories, Music Video of the Year and Single of the Year. (The Song of the Year award goes to songwriters only, and Miranda wrote only one of her two songs nominated in that category.) Meanwhile, Lady Antebellum will compete against pal Miranda in both those categories. Easton (“A Little More Country Than That“) is nominated in three categories, including New Artist. Zac Brown Band has two noms—Vocal Group and New Artist—and Zac is nominated as the co-writer of "Toes," which is up for Song of the Year.
The first round of nominations were announced at a press conference Tuesday morning (Aug. 31) at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The remainder of the award categories, including the top prize, Entertainer of the Year, will be revealed Wednesday, Sept. 1, on a special edition of ABC's Good Morning America.
