It was the best of nights and the worst of nights for Dierks Bentley during last night's (Jan. 18) Grammy nominee party, held at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville. He was there to celebrate his three Grammy nominations (two for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals, for "Bad Angel" featuring Miranda Lambert and Jamey Johnson and "Pride (In the Name of Love)" featuring Del McCoury and Punch Brothers, along with a nod for Best Country Album for Up on the Ridge).
Dierks' good friend and neighbor Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum was also on hand to celebrate his six Grammy nominations with his Lady Antebellum cohorts, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. While the party may have been red-hot with celebs, things got even hotter—literally—for Dierks after the party, when he and Charles Kelley discovered flames coming from Dierks' newly bought 1967 Camaro.
Dierks later tweeted, "met my friend charles kelley at a bar. he wanted to see my new '67 camero [sic]. we walked back outside. it was on fire. not cool." Lest anyone think he was joking, Dierks later uploaded a video to show footage of the car being towed away , and tweeted,"hard to sleep w images of flames coming out from under the engine stuck in head."
