One of the most powerful moments of Sunday’s upcoming Academy of Country Music awards show is sure to be a performance from a group of young adults with developmental disabilities.
Nashville’s Vanderbilt University hosts a music camp every year for folks with disabilities, and 25 campers will perform a song they wrote last year—with some help from Chris Young and songwriter Brett James.
Darius Rucker will join the campers Sunday for the performance of the song, called "Music From the Heart."
Julianne Hough will introduce the segment.
Afterward, viewers will be able to donate to the camp’s organizer, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, by calling (888) 9-LIFTING, or texting DREAM to 27722 to make a $5 donation.
