Trace, who has been married for 10 years to wife Rhonda, advises to be friends first—and stay that way. “We started out being friends, and we’re still friends, and then love has just continued to grow,” Trace says. Faith Hill notes that she and husband Tim McGraw just open their arms to each other during hard times. “When I need a pick-me-up, he just hugs me,” says Faith. “He gives me the best hugs in the world, bar none.” Tim counsels couples that every fight doesn’t mean the end of the relationship. “I think a lot of people fall into that—when they’re married or dating, they’re scared to have an argument,” says Tim.
