The duo of Montgomery Gentry, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, joined volunteers from The Home Depot, the Academy of Country Music and KaBOOM! to build a playground for Booker T. Washington Academy in Lexington, Ky. Eddie and Troy, both Kentucky natives, received the Home Depot Humanitarian Award at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards and were bestowed with the playground built in their honor. The duo let their fans select the location and Lexington was chosen through an online vote. During the day, volunteers also helped build an outdoor classroom, recycling bins and garden beds to create a community space at the school.
