September 12, 2011 – Remembering 9/11

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. In this special cover story, Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Dierks Bentley and other stars recall where they were on that fateful day and share their remembrances. Alan, who wrote the song “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” in commemoration of 9/11, notes that “it was just hard to stand there and believe something like this was even happening.” Keith recalls that he was on vacation in Florida when he heard the news and had to summon his tour bus to take him back to Nashville.
