May 12, 2014, NASH Magazine – Dierks Bentley: Sky’s the Limit

Dierks Bentley will surely agree that his latest single, “Drunk on a Plane,” helps lighten the mood of his deeply personal new album, Riser. “The album needs a pressure-release moment and some fun and lightheartedness,” Dierks tells NASH in this issue's cover story. Yet, there’s still some tragedy behind the comedy. “The chord selection and melody lines—they still have this melancholy feel to it,” Dierks adds.

Appropriately, Dierks also talks about being a pilot. He has his own plane, which often takes him from gig to gig. “Inside, it’s all decked out and feels like a sports car,” Dierks says.

Also, check out stars like Jake Owen, Carrie Underwood and others posing with their favorite little guys and girls—their pets.

In the NASH Q&A, Danielle Bradbery shares where she likes to shop and the language she would love to master.
