March 10, 2014 – George Strait: Living Legend

Thirty years ago, George Strait scored his first No. 1 album, Right or Wrong, and also released what many consider his breakthrough record, Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind. Now, 30 years later, George plans to retire from the road but not from making new records. George and his label reached an agreement last year for at least five more albums in the coming years.

This special cover story looks back at George’s 1984 landmark albums, which launched him to a superstar career. Plus, get a preview of George’s annual event in San Antonio, the George Strait Team Roping Classic.
