In this exclusive cover story, George Strait sits down with Country Weekly for a rare one-on-one interview. George talks about his decision to stop touring after 2014, his future plans and other topics in this interview, conducted at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. 

“As far as the old grind of going out on tour every year, that’s done,” George tells Country Weekly. He quickly points out that he is not retiring and plans to release new singles and albums, just as he’s always done.

George also looks back on his career, noting that, “It’s taken me to places I would have never dreamed of.”
