August 15, 2011 – Alan Jackson: Back To Basics

In this Country Weekly exclusive interview, Alan Jackson talks about his new single, new record label, his recent trips overseas and other hot topics.

Alan shares the story behind his new single, “Long Way to Go,” which started with a bug flying into his drink. “I kinda made a note of that,” Alan says, “and it ended up laying around for years and I finally just wrote the thing.” Alan adds that he plans to have a new album out this year.

“And,” he says, “you can always find us out there somewhere on the road playing for folks.”
