While playing around Atlanta, Zac Brown started running into a country-rock-soul-blues singer named Sonia Leigh. And he totally fell in love with Sonia's music.

So much so that Zac created a record label just to try to launch her worldwide.

Sonia has a new album out Tuesday (Sept. 27), and Zac posted a love letter to her music on his band’s website.

“When I first saw Sonia Leigh perform, I knew she was a star, and I knew I wanted to be by her side and create something special together,” he writes. “Sonia is the real deal. Her voice is unique, you know its her the instant you hear it. She writes her own songs and her debut record 1978 December is something I am so proud of. Sonia has crafted the perfect record. I, for one, am more excited for you to hear this than anything else I have been a part of in my music career so far.

“I put my money where my mouth is and have not only invested in Sonia Leigh, but taken her under my wing for as long as it takes to show her talent to everyone possible. . . .

“Sonia Leigh is poised to take over the world and I hope you agree.”
