Zac Brown’s Labor Day Salute

Fans can get involved with promotion.

The Zac Brown Band and workwear brand Carhartt are teaming up for a campaign called “Everyday Icons,” which celebrates the spirit of the Labor Day holiday.

Zac and the band picked six individuals who work with the group's various business ventures and are nominating them to be “Everyday Icons” and are asking fans to be part of the process. Beginning Sept. 2, fans can visit Carhartt’s Facebook page (facebook.com/carhartt) to watch videos of the six nominees and vote for the one they feel is most deserving of the Everyday Icon honor.

“This is our attempt to take back Labor Day,” Zac tells CountryWeekly.com. “Our goal is to take a little bit of the emphasis away from the [Labor Day] sales that are going on and shine the spotlight on all the hardworking men and women of America that really help everything go.”

Beginning Oct. 15, fans can nominate their own Everyday Icon, who will have a chance to win some great weekly prizes. The grand prize winner will meet Zac and the band prior to his New Year's Eve concert and receive tickets to the show.
