Zac Brown has always had a passion for fine food—he owned a restaurant before becoming a star and now hosts annual Southern Ground Music and Food Festivals in Charleston, S.C.—but now he’s branching out with his very own brand of wine.

Called Z. Alexander Brown (Alexander is Zac’s middle name), the “Chicken Fried” singer has partnered with winemaker John Killebrew for his new company.

From the Z. Alexander Brown website:

“Zac Brown has always been a creator, and learned the importance of devoting himself to his craft early in life. He applies that passion for quality not only to his music, but to all the creative endeavors he undertakes.

Zac’s drive to find inspiration in our world is second only to his desire to share it with others. When he and winemaker John Killebrew met, they instantly recognized in each other a common passion for creating unique experiences that reflect quality and originality.

Their collaboration is Z. Alexander Brown—big, bold wines of uncommon finesse and character.”

Two different “Uncaged” wines are already available online—a Cabernet Sauvignon and Proprietary Red Blend. Both go for $19.99.

“Wine has always fascinated me because of its inherent connection to the land and the artistry necessary to craft a distinct and memorable experience,” Zac explains via Instagram.
