Zac Brown Brings Train, Eric Church, Others to Music and Food Festival

Kicks off Oct. 21.

Zac Brown wants to give fans “a full sensory experience” and that's what he aims to do with the Southern Ground Music and Food Festival in Charleston, S.C.

As Countryweekly.com previously reported, the festival runs from Oct. 21 to 23. My Morning Jacket, Train, Eric Church, Fitz and the Tantrums, Warren Haynes Band, Steel Pulse, Trigger Happy, The Del McCoury Band and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Brett Dennen are all slated to perform. Several artists signed to Zac Brown’s Southern Ground label are also on the bill, including Sonia Leigh, The Wood Brothers, Nic Cowan, Blackberry Smoke, Levi Lowrey and Clay Cook.

“This is our chance to give a full sensory experience to our fans. We’re trying to create exactly what I would want to have as my ultimate concert experience,” Zac tells Countryweekly.com.

VIP attendees will be able to sit onstage, mere feet away from the performers. They will be served a four-course gourmet meal prepared by Southern Ground executive chef Rusty Hamlin and local Charleston chefs.

General admission attendees will get their share of fine cooking as well; concessions will be available from “Cookie,” Zac Brown Band’s mobile kitchen, which will offer a la carte items prepared with Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Grub GA Clay Rub and Zac’s own Brown Sauce, as well as selections from local Charleston restaurants.
